To “identify, collect, protect, preserve and make available the records of
enduring value of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary”.
Description of the collection
The Archive of the Loreto South Asia Province serves as the repository for
India, Bangladesh and Nepal, and reflects the work of the Loreto sisters in
South Asia since the time of their first arrival in 1841. The collection
comprises Province Council papers, community annals, correspondence related
to the schools, newsletters, and some private papers of the sisters.
